Located in newly renovated downtown Belton, Missouri, Dryden Drug Co.
has been owned and operated by the Dryden family since 1931. Steve
Dryden, a fourth generation Dryden pharmacist, runs the company today.
Purchased by Jack S. Dryden in 1931, the small hometown corner drugstore
has grown from 2000 square feet to well over 10,000 square feet today.
Retail offerings include books, magazines, household goods, office
supplies, cards, gifts, beer, liquor, wine, soft drinks and party
supplies, milk, eggs, and other food items, personal care, extensive health
care
including durable medical equipment, and of course prescription drugs.
The well lighted, attractively finished store also offers lottery
products, money orders, fax service, and a utility payment station
for paying most of your bills.
Unlike most of the modern chain drugstores today, Dryden's carries items
the customer asks for instead of only the items the charts say will sell
and will gladly special order any available item you may not be able to readily
find.
The atmosphere in Dryden Drug Co. is warm and unique. Although remodeled
to be clean, bright, and inviting, the interior of the store includes a restored
brick wall that used to be the exterior of the historial Little Shirt Co.
